City staff visited the site on June 26 to evaluate the conditions and assess sight distance at the alley entrance. Based on our review, we determined that the existing on-street parking does not obstruct the view of approaching eastbound traffic on 4th Street. The line of sight meets recommended guidelines for safe stopping sight distance. At this time, we are not recommending any changes to the current parking configuration. However, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’ll continue to monitor the area as part of our ongoing review of alley and intersection safety.
