Traffic Related Complaints:

Other: intersection at Sare and Rhorer. If turning left onto Rhorer it's very difficult if not impossible to see around the car to your right that's turning onto Rhorer. Also, cars coming down the hill on Rhorar, to the left are very fast. Should be 4-way stop or traffic light.

Thank you for submitting this uReport and sharing your concerns about visibility at this intersection. City staff reviewed recent crash data at this location, and the intersection does not meet the IMUTCD warrants for an all-way stop or a traffic signal. However, we agree that sight distance is an important safety factor. We will be evaluating the line of sight on site, and initial observations suggest that trimming back brush along Rhorer Road would help improve visibility. Rhorer Road is under Monroe County’s maintenance jurisdiction, and we can coordinate with them if vegetation management is needed. Also, due to the roadway geometry, drivers may need to pull slightly forward from the stop bar to obtain a full view of approaching traffic, which is typical at many curved intersections. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention
