Thank you for your request. This is not an official access point for the Bloomington Rail Trail, and as such is not maintained by Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department staff. Since the trail spur runs the length of a slope that could lead to erosion issues, and continued public use of this spur would involve trespass onto privately owned land to enter the Parks property, Parks staff will work to close this trail spur.

I don't believe this is an official access point for the Rail Trail, but rather something a private household has constructed to access the trail. Sending to our operations director for further review.
