City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Submission Received #206948

Other:

Other: I was walking my dog in this neighborhood recently and I was surprised to see speed bumps on this block — it’s a narrow street, barely used, and you can’t get any speed because you have to turn at either 6th or 7th. I asked a neighbor why the city installed these and was told a new resident installed them on their own. Is that permissible??

Hi Cheyenne, it does appear that someone bolted down a couple rubber speed bumps on Fairview between 6th and 7th. This was not associated with anything Engineering has worked on. I doubt it would be productive to pursue action against whoever did the work, but please let me know if you need anything from Engineering. I recommend DPW simply unbolt and remove the speed bumps. Thanks!
