City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #208780

City Performance:

Other: I read in the paper that 50+ trees are going to be removed by INDOT to widen the intersection at Pete Ellis and 10th St. We are a tree city and have been so for over 40 years. I hope the city is planning to work with the state on hopefully being able to save some of these beautiful 50+ year old trees. Yes, the intersection needs to be improved but hopefully a creative solution can be found. Please work together to think creatively about how to solve this issue. We greatly value our trees in Bloomington. Thank you!

Thanks for your message. We're also concerned about the loss of those trees. We've been in conversation with INDOT regularly, and multiple City departments are involved in trying to find solutions. We are doing everything we possibly can, and we encourage residents to also contact INDOT directly to share their concerns.
