Other: I spoke to Brittany in an email of a safety concern and hazard of smoking outside my apartment Complex but before I could respond I needed to respond on what she stated to do Dear Audrey Brittingham, Thank you for your response regarding Case #209518. I would like to request that someone visit the site to inspect the designated smoking area and the cigarette disposal containers. Because the apartment complex has established a permanent smoking area immediately outside this non-smoking building, violations are constant and can be observed at any time. The police have responded to this location multiple times due to fires caused by smoking. They informed me that this is a government or HAND (Housing and Neighborhood Development) issue; however, each time I report it, I am referred to a different department. Is it possible for a representative to see this firsthand without me calling the non-emergency line? Additionally, would the Health Department be able to assist, or is there another official who can verify the proximity of this smoking circle to the building?
