It is not properly shielded with the lighting element visible beyond the property line to the north. We will be issuing a Notice of Violation (NOV) Warning letter, establishing a compliance deadline to properly shield the lighting fixture. Please note that the light is not required to be shielded from the inside of the property which would include this apartment window--the City's outdoor lighting standards (as outlined in Bloomington Municipal Code Section 20.04.090) require the lighting elements be shielded from an observer at any property line.
