Other: I accidentally parked in a handicapped spot on the street of Kirkwood to run in and get something from the graduate. I have a IU handicap tag because I broke my foot 2 months ago. I didn’t know at that point that they were different! I am so sorry! I really wasn’t allowed to to walk much with my boot and it is hard to get around so when I saw the handicap spot I thought it would be okay because I had a tag but didn’t know the difference between the IU handicap and a regular one. I am deeply sorry and I already graduated so I had a broken foot the last months of senior year and obviously it won’t happen again. I would never want to take away spots from anyone that needs them! I attached my handicap for IU tag and wasn’t able to attach the picture of the citation but it is number 26205501221

The City of Bloomington does not recognize a IU temp disability hang tag as a Valid State issued ADA placard. Also, on the photo of the IU permit, it states it was only valid thru 4/19/2026.The citation is past the 14 day appeal date thru the City Clerks Office. The citation was also paid on 6/5/2026, no refund will be issued.
