Other: Good evening. There has been a notable increase in the use of electric bikes at Olcott Park since this summer. Young people (including some children) are riding their electric bikes on the park pathways, grass, and streets. They are scaring pedestrians and their pets. They are going at high speeds (20 mph plus), doing wheelies, and driving while looking at their cell phones. It would be helpful to increase patrols and/or provide guidance to residents explaining how and where these bikes can be used. Given children are involved, safety is a primary concern. Thank you for addressing this.

We are currently working with City Council on a new local ordinance about eBikes and similar devices, as the development of these devices has outpaced any local or state regulations. It would be helpful if you would also provide your feedback to your City Council representative. We are hoping to get an ordinance in place later this year or very early next year.
