Phone Call: MOTHER OF TENANTS: REPORTS THIS WEEKEND THAT THEY VISITED AND SAW NUMEROUS RATS AT THE AREA WHERE THE TRASH IS PUT. THERE IS NO DUMPSTER; A CONCRETE PAD WITH SOME TRASH CANS AND THE KIDS ARE AFRAID TO GO NEAR THIS AREA SO THEY THROW THE BAGS IN. SAID THE KIDS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS THRU THE SCHOOL YEAR. ASKED AND SHE DID STATE THE RATS ARE NOT IN THE BUILDING AS FAR AS SHE KNOWS.

On site at 8:40 am did see two small rats probably babies. The trash containment area needs cleaned. Sent letter to owner and called Elkins. Reinsp. w/m trash containment area has been cleaned up however tenants are still not putting trash in the containers. Several bait traps have been placed around and in the containment area. Saw no rats.
