Lynne Friedmeyer confirmed the gate is locked and secure. The Planning dept. will continue to monitor the gate everyday to make sure that it remains closed until April 10, 1999. In addition, they will continue to update and work with the city Legal dept. So far the gate has remianed closed.
According to Lynne Friedmeyer, the Covenanter gate is open. Traffic can now use this road, and she has notified the city police, fire and ambulance services that the gate is open. The structure will be removed sometime during the week of 4/12-4/16/1999.
