Thank you for discussing the drainage situation which is causing stones from a driveway to wash into your yard. As I mentioned during that conversation, I believe that the construction of a low rock wall (without mortared joints) or a beam that allows drainage through it would serve to slow down the runoff sufficiently so that the stones would be caught.Some type of ground cover such as the periwenkle that is currently growing in patches in this area could probably survive on the upstream side cont:of this berm. Although Colfax Ln. is not currently scheduled to be resurfaced, it is possible that some improvement could be made in the future to reduce the quantity of stones that are deposited in your yard. I do not believe, however, that it would be feasible to reduce the amount of water runoff that drains to the sinkhole in your backyard.
