Traffic Related Complaints: Request
Phone Call: Sudbury states that people are travelling 60 MPH down Weimer Road. There were two accidents in the past week. She has contacted the Police Department and they have sent out officers but they only drive up and down the road. They need to have the officers stay out there and write tickets. She is possibly interested in traffic calming of some type.

I talked with Ms. Sudbury and she said that the accident on the 10th involved a drunk driver (he came to their house for help). I explained that we are currently not doing any traffic calming projects but I would consider rumble strips. I also called Lisa at County Hwy to see if they have the accident reports -- she said they only have one in '98 (Sat. the 10th) and three in '97. She will let me know if they get more. She agreed that we have the appropriate signing (speed limit and curve). Jane Fleig talked with the Street Department and had rumble strips installed. The City will continue to keep an eye on the area. Denise Henderson
