Line of Sight: Request
Phone Call: THE BUSHES AT THE BACK OF THE THE PROPERTY ARE OVERGROWN NEAR THE ROADWAY. THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE HOUSE BEHIND THE ABOVE ADDRESS TO PULL OUT ONTO THE STREET. MANY TIMES THEY HAVE TO GET OUT OF THEIR VEHICLES TO DIRECT TRAFFIC. (NOTE: THIS WAS CALLED IN TO "HAND" AND REFERRED TO ENG.)

I spoke with Mr. Mitchell, who lives at 404 E Grimes (he filed the complaint) and explained that we do not regulate sight distance at drives. He said that his drive is not his, it's City property -- this did not show up on GIS so I sent Dave to the courthouse and found we have a 6' utility easement along the west edge of his property. This still doesn't make it our responsibility but I talked to Brent Thompson (who had handled the initial complaint for HAND) and he said he would follow up. Brent was finally able to get ahold of Ernest Horn and asked him to trim the honeysuckle bush that interfered with Mr. Mitchell's sight distance. This was done on 8/12/97. I tried to call Mr. Mitchell 3 separate times to see if he was satisfied but got no answer.
