Excessive Growth: Request
Phone Call: The alley behind Mrs. Gwin, from 15th to 16th St, is over grown with weeds. Since 1940, she has always kept it mowed. She's 81, was just in the hospital, so can no longer do so. City crews have graveled and trimmed the rest of the entire alley from Walnut to Dunn, except the block behind her. She feels it's time for the city to take over this part of the alley too.

Stopped this morning and talked with Mrs. Gwin about her concerns with the alley. She thinks that the City did a sewer repair her last year. The crew did not come back and repair the alley which now is so uneven that her son thinks that it will tear up her new lawn mower. She has to hire her lawn mowing and does not have the money to pay extra for the alley to be mowed. She would like for the Street Dept. to stone the rest of the alley. This half block is the only portion of the alley which is not stoned. Confirmed with Linda at T&D that we did do a sewer repair here. The area is on the list for the yard crew to repair. Grass was cut in July.
