Traffic Related Complaints: Request
Phone Call: Mr. Brewer called to find out what could be done to minimize traffic on Henderson St. and find out if Henderson St. is a permissible route for trucks to use, particularly City trucks.

I returned Mr. Brewer's phone call and informed him that Henderson St. is designated as a secondary arterial on our Master Thoroughfare Plan, meaning that the City would not want to minimize traffic on this street and that traffic calming would not be appropriate. I also informed him that Henderson is not a truck route but according to our Municipal Code, trucks with 6 wheels or less are not defined as trucks so the majority of our City trucks would be able to use Henderson. I told him I would go ahead and issue this citizen action order to the attention of CBU because some of their trucks may not need to use Henderson but do so for convenience instead of using Walnut Street.
