AT THE CORNER OF MORNINGSIDE DRIVE & SMITH ROAD. THE CITY FINISHED THEIR PROJECT OUT THERE ABOUT A YEAR AGO THERE IS A SMALL PLOT OF LAND AT THIS INTERSECTION THAT HAD SOD PUT DOWN. THE GRASS DIED AND MR. BROTHERS WOULD LIKE FOR THE CITY TO REPLACE THIS PORTION. THIS AREA IS IN THE CITY RIGHT OF WAY. JANE FLEIG DID GO OUT TO TAKE A LOOK AT SITE ON 5/28/96.
I called Bobby Chestnut @ Street Dept. and asked him to look at the area and see if they could seed or sod the area because the State Highway contract work (re: sod) has expired. Bobby Chestnut told me they were currently in the process of resodding the area. He had spoken with the property owner and told him Street Dept. would water the sod a few times and the owner indicated he would also water if necessary.
