this property has been vacant for 25 years. the house is falling away from the chimney. there are holes in the foundation. The property 616 N Plymouth Rd has not been occupied for many years. (We have lived at our current address for over 19 years.) While the grass is mowed, there is now a dead tree on the side of the property that periodically falls into Beacon Ct after storms. In addition, there is a broken window in the front and evidence of animals inside. The entire property is slowly decaying and is becoming quite an eyesore.
West end of the retaining wall on north side of the property (Cottage Grove side) has degraded so much so that the capstone is no longer supported by underlaying stone and could fail if any significant pressure is placed on it, such as someone sitting or stepping on it. It is adjacent to the former driveway.
The house at 1415 W 11th st has been abandoned by the owner for months and is unsafe to the neighborhood. There are animals living inside and years worth of trash dumped behind the house. Toilets, tires, carpeting, insulation, etc. If the owner is not forced to remedy the situation he will leave it like this indefinitely. Please help!

The rear retaining wall of 705 w 13th Street is a hazard as it is soon to fall like the other piece of retaining wall that fell off. Please address this hazard that is seen every day by us dog walkers using the public ROW in the alley. That large piece of limestone could fall any second and land on something or someone and it is unfair that property owners are not held accountable for maintaining their property. This rental property was inspected recently, and even with hazardous sidewalks on property as well as hazardous retaining walls, it was approved as safe for being a rental. Nope. It is not safe.
White 2-story house in the 700 block of W. 7th St. is boarded up, but someone has partially removed a board from the window at the rear of the property. Neighbors have been seeing people in the upstairs at night. The stairway area at the rear of the house, which leads from the basement to the outside is full of water, which is several feet deep. The basement must be full of water. Ms. Stanfield is concerned that a child could drown.
Exposed garbage, rats and other animals opening bags of garbage at 710 E. Cottage Grove, which is next to a state-licensed day care facility. Also, speeding traffice on E. Cottage Grove, no sidewalk crossing or slow speed or children playing signs at this intersection.
