This "temporary" fence has gone up every weekend since the end of August 2017, and the photo here is from today (Sat.Sept.16). It is held up by begs of sand or concrete(?), and pails with cinderblocks on them. The fence is made of plywood boards not attached to each other but resting on the aforesaid "supports". As the boards are large and heavy, it is likely they could hurt someone should they tip over during one of the many loud parties the fence enables.The fence also enables the partiers to avoid being seen by the police when passing by looking for the source of the loud parties and allows the partiers to espy the police cars coming to shut down their parties. Please inform the occupants of the house that they should not erect this fence, not only for the danger to passersby and to themselves, but because they requested permission to build such a fence from the Bloomington Historic Preservation Commission in June 2017 and permission was refused.

The main electric wire from the pole to this house has been hanging low for nearly a full year after a limb fell on the wire and pulled the wire holder attachment anchor out of the house structure. We (Chickering Rentals) own and manage a rental next to this property at 1006 e 1st, and the electric wire for 1002 e 1st is hanging low enough to touch in our back yard and creating a hazard. I alerted Duke and they informed me that they cannot do anything to re-hang the wire until the property owner at 1002 e 1st re-mounts the wire holder anchor, or installs new service mast. I attempted to reach out to the owner of 1002 e 1st to ask them to make the necessary repair and was unsuccessful. Not sure if the city can do anything about this to help. Hello. There is a utility pole that looms over my house in the alley way that connects to my driveway. It has substantially eroded at the bottom, and I'm worried that it will topple. Can someone come out and take a look, please? Thanks Kevin

913 West 11th Street - corner of Orris and West 11th. This house is unoccupied and has become a dumping ground. There are children that live next door and in close proximity to this building. The trash is dangerous, unhealthy, and an attraction for rats and other disease-ridden creatures. In addition, the building itself is derelict and unsafe.

I own the property located at 1005 N. Jackson St, 47404. Shortly after purchasing the property the house next door burned down. We felt very fortunate that our house was not damaged. The house was demolished, however, shortly after demolishing the house someone has set up a tent on the lot and multiple people have been seen using the tent. There is trash surrounding the tent. Though we have not seen a fire there is what appears to be a makeshift fire pit. We use this property as a short term rental and it has the proper permits. I am personally concerned about the safety of my wife who spends some of her days working on improvements within the property. Obviously concerned about the impact on our ability to rent the home with the above described situation. I'm not sure what can be done but after reviewing the code it does not seem like this fits the intended use of the property. I am also empathetic to the rise of homelessness in our community, but this is a residential neighborhood and for the safety of all community members something should be done. We dodged a serious issue when the house burnt down and worry we may not be so lucky if something happens again. Thanks for your attention to this matter, please reach out with any questions. Hoping this could be resolved amicably, not trying to get anyone in trouble.

Old IUCU drive thru lanes at Whitehall Plaza on west 3rd Street.. The building has tarps covering the front and wind damage has town those off and exposed pipes, graffiti, hanging boards, and water damage. This is an eyesore, dangerous and is not safe to walk or drive by... There are swinging boards and I have picked up several boards with nails in them and placed in the flowerbed.
