I am submitting this request to replace the street sign on E Thorton Drive (off of S Henderson St & across from the Black Lumber Company on the south-side of town). The street sign is currently missing. Thank you.
At 15th and Walnut, just west of Walnut, the curb is painted to allow parking. Often there are three cars parked there. When a car is parked as close to Walnut as legally possible according to the yellow curb, it is impossible to come east on 15th and get back over to the stop sign behind the stop line. This means the rear end of one's car is sticking into the westbound lane of 15th, or else the front is sticking into Walnut. If the yellow curb were extended westward from the intersection to leave room for just two cars to park, it would be simple to get over to the stop line and not be in the way of westbound traffic on 15th. Stop light at North Walnut and Old State Road 37. I waited over 7min for green light to turn from old 37 to Walnut. This is not the first time. Please fix the issue.
A street sign was recently installed at E Thornton Dr & S Henderson St (on the southside of town), and it is missing again. I'm not sure if the recent high winds may have blown the sign off, or what happened. Also, the street sign at E North Dr & S Henderson St (by South High School) is reversed. Indiana RR bridge on Adams St. has many severe impacts scars. The Waterman Neighborhood Association is considering a painting project, but would like inspection and repairs first. Suggestion: paint it yellow, so speeders would see it, and the City have paint on hand to cover up speeder mistakes.
Does anyone even monitor the lights to enter a freeway. Car pool lane is only for two or more in the vehicle. The ramp from Bush Lake Road to enter 494E is constantly being abused. Car after car after car is using the car pool lane with only one person in the vehicle. Very frustrating as I'm in the proper lane awaiting my turn and watching all these other cars entering the freeway and not using the proper lane. Why have this feature if it isn't monitored?
at the intersection of west kirkwood & adams (near kleindorfers hardware store), there have been 2 close-calls recently between 2 vehicles because a yield-sign is turned the wrong way (toward the cemetery) so people driving don't see it.
Two yellow traffic signs on Covenanter between Nota and Pickwick, across from 2215 are half 'eaten' by a huge hedge. Maybe the hedge can be trimmed. Before long the hedge will also 'eat' half the sidewalk.
We have contacted the street department 4 times now on this prob. At the end of Tudor lane and aloe dale there is a sink hole in the road that constantly has red clay wet mud approximately 4 feet in diameter around it. Red clay water runs almost a block downhill. The hole has been patched but eons up again. It is not a pot hole but is caving in. We as a neighborhood have to either pull out into the opposite lane of traffic or go through red wet mud. Please direct my email to appropriate person. I had notified u earlier this summer and they said they would send a supervisor out. This is probably 4-5 month on going. Any help would be greatly appreciated
a “road work ahead” sign has been on our property for quite awhile and it blocks our view when leaving our driveway to turn onto the street. It is also in the space that we snowplow our snow. We would like it removed as soon as possible. We live at 8735 Penn Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431 Thank you.
