A trailer for a food truck has been parked on the street most of the time for the past 2-3 months. Is this legal? It's something of an obstacle when a vehicle is parked across from it.
There is significant sediment tracking along N Arlington Rd down to the 17th Street roundabout. It appears it may be coming from the new jobsite, but the roadway is a complete mess. Please let the Planning and Transportation know about the sediment concern and if possible a street sweeper probably needs to get this cleaned up. Thank you!
117 S. Heritage Rd. This picture shows how the traffic jammed at the conner where the vehicles parked on the street. I am happy to meet the Mayor this morning at Farmers Market and showed her all the pictures I sent to you. Yesterday friends gathered discuss this hazardous situation at my driveway, we saw some garden workers carrying their tools walking from Morningside toward 3rd street to work. Why are you doing this? We don’t want park our pickup truck and trailer at Heritage to block the traffic. What a consideration! Even garden workers have the sense of responsibility. The city officers didn’t prepared ahead of time to prevent the dangerous situation, ignored the fact there ought to be heavy traffic on Heritage Rd. Even all the companies saying there’s no Detour sign, City didn’t direct drivers to use Heritage Rd. This is intentionally created a hazardous situation for all the residents in the city. The Mayor promised to look into the case. But on the safe side I am going to contact my lawyer, in case God blinks his eyes, some tthing terrible happens.
There is no sign instructing vehicles leaving the Jordan Avenue garage driveway that they are entering a roundabout, so most of them turn left by entering the roundabout and immediately turning left. This causes near-head-on collisions as vehicles driving south on Jordan follow the roundabout around to enter the parking garage driveway.
Checking to see if you will be re-striping the lanes just south of the intersection of College and 17th. Almost been sideswiped a couple times.
I live on the Waterman section of W. 8th Street. A few years ago, before the city repaved our road, there were yellow center lines and also marked roadside parking spaces. When will the city repaint those lines? It has been a few years already. We have an issue of people speeding on our road, which they do by driving down the center of it regardless of oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and bicyclists. I think the speeding was less of an issue back when the road lines were painted because those lines prevented people from driving down the middle of the road like they do now. I think repainting the center lines and the parking spot lines, we could actually solve the speeding problem.
Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. Alley is being used as an extended-hour parking lot for multiple vehicles, particularly in the evening, making access difficult.
One of the stop signs is missing at the corner of Clark and 7th. It is the sign on the east side of the intersection that stops westbound traffic. The other 3 signs appear to be intact.
The construction plan and closures are ridiculous. We get no notice of any road closures and we now have one way in and out of our apartment complex, which leads to a congested one lane road. We received no notice of any road closures which included our side of 45/46 and Pete Ellis. How am I supposed to get to work on time when you change the roads and lights during rush hour traffic which causes major traffic jams. The overall thought and planning put into all road construction in Bloomington is abysmal. If giving notice of road closures is too difficult to do then try to focus on completing the construction on one road before starting construction on another.
