Hello. There is a problem with reckless driving in the Maple Heights neighborhood. I experience it on my daily walks on Fairview, 11th, Maple, 13th, Jackson, Rogers, etc... I see it and hear it throughout my day specifically on 13th street both west and east directions and Fairview both north and south directions. Frequently, it is a vehicle speeding north on Fairview, then turning east on 13th street. Then just a few minutes later the same car speeds in the reverse directions. Is this some sort of a methamphetamine pickup? I don't know. But it is regular, has been a regular occurrence, and I am tired of it. The worst regular occurrence are negligent, selfish motorists traveling at very high speeds from the east on 13th street heading west to Maple. I was taking in the recycling bin last night and could not believe the speed at which someone drove past me. This is not safe. There is a special needs adolescent in the neighborhood who sometimes dances around in the street. There are children that play and should have every right to play without cars traveling at high speeds past them. This is incredibly dangerous driving in a residential neighborhood and I would appreciate it if the police could enforce the traffic laws prior to their being property damage and/or personal injury. Hello, I live at 6573 S. Old SR 37 and experience near daily close calls trying to exit my driveway. People traveling north on my road are often driving very fast. Since they are coming up a hill and don't have to slow down, it requires me to accelerate greatly right out of my driveway. There is an increase in traffic on our road due to I69 construction and delays on SR37. I would like information about how to request a stop light or stop sign at the intersection of Dillman Rd. and Old SR 37 S.We have witnessed many accidents at this corner and feel that a traffic sign would make the area safer.

Hello, there is a massive issue with drivers running red lights and stop signs in this city. I have marked a particularly bad intersection (Madison and 11th), however this issue is city-wide. The included intersection has a wall on the bridge that prevents vehicles from seeing around the corner to 11th street, which often means that people just roll right through the stop sign. I've been almost T-boned at this intersection multiple times, and I genuinely fear I may die there some day. I have already been hit once by someone ignoring traffic laws on Third Street, and have almost been hit on foot and in my vehicle countless times downtown. It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to travel around the city. There should be traffic cameras on the stop lights, and more aggressive fines to deter these people casually ignoring safety and traffic laws. I understand that it is hard to enforce stop signs, however I have witnessed (on multiple occasions) police patrol vehicles allowing people to run right through 4-way stops, and some even do it themselves. People are learning that there are absolutely no consequences for driving recklessly around the city, and it has gotten noticeably worse. Please, consider taking action about the extremely unsafe traffic situation in our city.

Dangerous Speeding. How to Petition/Request Speed Bump

For the past couple weeks I've observed the same Domino's delivery driver driving southbound on Washington at a fairly high rate of speed between 12 and 10th street. I suspect he cuts west through the alley between 9th and 10th to return to the Domino's location. Can something be done to slow this guy down? This is happening in the evening and nighttime hours.

A street sign is down at the north east corner of 1st and Fess. The sign ws face down, but looked to be a parking sign. I observed this about one hour ago (2pm on Oct. 20, 2017).

I've noticed quite a few cars traveling south bound on Washington Street between 12th and 10th at a fairly high rate of speed, especially as they crest the hill at 11th. With the new development at coming to the High Point commercial property on North Walnut at 11th, I feel like Washington is going to start seeing a lot more traffic heading downtown. Could traffic calming measures be investigated for this stretch of road?
