Caller very frustrated with traffic back-up at Smith Ave. and Walnut. Sat in line on Smith for 20 minutes, through 6 stoplight cycles, forced to wait through school pick-up.
The crosswalk at John Hinkle Place and 10th St (i.e., stretching across 10th) is extremely dangerous. The white lines are very faded (such that cars may have difficulty seeing them), and cars frequently don't stop or slow down for pedestrians already in the cross walk (not just waiting to cross). Given that this bus stop is also used as an elementary school bus stop, this presents an extremely dangerous situation for young children as well as for adults. If this particular crosswalk could be repainted as soon as possible or (even better) if it could get a button to push for a flashing light while you cross, that would be a huge improvement for this area. The 4 way stop at E. Allendale and Dunstan Dr in Sherwood oaks is a huge concern. A traffic report has been done. Many cars a day use this route as a cut through and many cars drive too fast and don't stop at this stop sign. This is also a school bus stop and city bus stop. I live at this corner and witness frist hand every day the number of cars that run this stop sign. I'd like to request speed bumps be installed along Allendale to keep the speed limit regulated.
A vehicle swiped the street sign at E Third St and S Pleasant Ridge Rd. The sign is now turned around and damaged.
The traffic on E Allendale Dr is unacceptable. People come through way too fast, and most cars run the stop sign at E Dunstan Dr. Some don't even slow down. They speed through the stop even when my daughter is walking to the bus stop. I and my dog have almost been hit twice in the last week. Someone is going to get hit. If the police want tickets for run stop signs, they should sit at Dunstan Dr. If they want speeding tickets, sit at Allendale Ct cross street.
The intersection of Moore's Pike and Smith Road is dangerous coming towards the intersection going north on Smith Road. There needs to be a stop ahead sign put out. During Winter we have cars drive into our front yard close to our house from having to slam on breaks to avoid a collision.
Mr. Miller states that since the City installed sidewalks along E. Third Street that bicyclists are riding on these sidewalks at high speed. It is very dangerous for pedestrians and one day he will be hit. Is there anything the City can do?
Dunstan and Allendale Dr. there is a 4-way stop sign. This is also the location of a City bus and MCCSC school bus. When walking from West to East down Allendale Dr. cars are at exceeding speeds over 25 MPH, and today while kids were are the bus stop multiple cars "rolled-through" or did not even stop at the stop sign. I believe this is a safety for our kids. Can there be consideration for speed reduction, traffic calmers, or speed bumps in our neighborhood?
There has been a white Lincoln car broken down on the side of the street with a temporary license plate that expired in September. The vehicle obviously doesn't run and is turning what would be a 2 lane road into a one lane road. Please send an officer out to mark it for removal as its causing traffic limitations on the street. The car is located on South Sowder Sq.
