Citizen says on 4/22 City Sanitation truck nearly hit a bicyclist coming from Waldron onto Kirkwood and then hit a stop sign at the following street.
Citizen says on 4/22 City Sanitation truck nearly hit a bicyclist coming from Waldron onto Kirkwood and then hit a stop sign at the following street.
"Turn arrow and street sign has been hit by a car and needs to be fixed" at corner of W 17th St. and Crescent Rd.
Citizen says he has parked in front of his house for 5 years and buys residential permit. About 3 weeks ago he started getting parking tickets because his car was "too far out". Says when Street repaved it left a drop off and he can't pull his car over any further. People park on the other side of the street illegally and never get ticketed. Says City needs to either fix the street or stop ticketing him. He was reasonable and supportive of city employees, but says he didn't create problem.
Citizen claims a city employee in white 4 dr vehicle with municipal plates passed him on Grimes heading toward Henderson and caused him to run off the road. Says driver gave him the finger.
Citizen says he was traveling north on N Old SR 37 towards Dolan. Says he was in a passing zone attempting to pass a white and blue sanitation truck. Says the truck swerved over into his lane and ran him off the road causing a flat tire and bent rim. Said he was attempting to pass 3 vehicles and sanitation truck was in the middle. Wants City to repair his vehicle.

Citizen (who is a candidate for County Commissioner), claims Sanitation truck has been speeding through his neighborhood. Says he has seen this at least twice, even at times that are not collection days for that area.
Citizen works for Wininger Stolberg, developers of Winslow Farms. Claims that today and on 2 previous occasions, City recycling truck has been driving through Laurelwood like "a bat out of hell." Says he has yelled at the drivers but gotten no response. Says this is dangerous because of kids in the area.
ACTION ORDER FROM MAYOR'S OFFICE (ATTACHED). HIGH STREET/MAXWELL LANE NEEDS SOME TYPE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL TO MAKE IT SAFER (ATTACHED LETTER FROM MS. JOHNSON). JANE FLEIG TOOK A LOOK AT SITE ON 5/24/96.
Complainant would like the 2-hour parking restriction eliminated in front of the above address (see letter in Traffic Complaint file).
