Citizen says Truck #413 (Sign Crew) was driving very slowly, turned onto her street, stopped in front of her driveway, started backing up without any warning and nearly hit her car. Only stopped after she blew her horn.
Requested a study of the Washington and Lincoln Street segments between Hillside and First.
States that there is excessive speeding on Lincoln, is requesting a stop sign at Lincoln/Wylie.
REPORTS THAT THERE IS ONE ACCIDENT PER WEEK AT ATWATER/HENDERSON INTERSECTION. WANTS TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO TURN LANE ON HENDERSON
Debbie Vollmer (in Engineering Dept.) took the complaint on 11-8-96 concerning an unsafe corner @ Henderson & 2nd. Mr. Goldsmith says there are accidents happening @ the corner of 2nd & Henderson because when traveling west on 2nd St. approaching Henderson there is a small hill which once a driver crest this hill they do not have time to stop for the stop sign. Many cars are driving thru the intersection without stopping and/or there are accidents happening.
Moody Drive is not wide enough to accommodate parked cars on both sides of the street as well as through traffic. There are a few rentals in the area that have excessive vehicles that park on the street causing problems for cars to get through. She is also concerned about emergency vehicles. The residents have driveways.

Streetlight in front of residence shines directly into their bedroom. Would like a shield placed on the east and south sides of the lamp to prevent the light from shining in.
There is a tulip tree in between 3911 & 3913 Laurel Ct. The driver of the trash truck has backed up into the tree the past 2 weeks, breaking branches and leaves everywhere. He doesn't need to back up this far and he's going to kill the tree.
