We live on Southern Oaks Drive (between Sare Road and Oakmount Drive). Drivers frequently use our street as a "cut through." We have many children in our neighborhood and, this afternoon, a five year old boy riding his bicycle was almost hit by a driver speeding through this area. The driver did not even slow down, rather, they swerved to go around him. He swerved the same direction and they almost hit him. Our request is for speed bumps or some sort of traffic calming device to be place on South Southern Oaks Drive before a child is seriously hurt or even killed. This situation will only worsen as more apartments, and businesses are built on Sare Road.

The left lane that used to go straight through on college avenue past the Marriott near 3rd street has now stopped and the city has placed these large curbs that jut out into the street. I have seen several cars run into them, slam on their breaks and close calls and accidents there. who is making these decisions to place medians and curbs that narrow the street access. the city of bloomington is becoming very difficult to access in a car. they have made it hard to see the roads at night. another area is the median they placed on 10th street near the bypass. I have seen people swerve to miss it and find the narrow road to access 10th going to campus. with all of the visiting parents and travelers that come to the city and campus, you would think the engineers would widen roads and make things more accessible instead of causing areas where accidents are more likely to happen. especially there on college avenue across from the convention center.

Blue Buick at 3345 is permanently stationary with no registration I do not know if this is illegal or not. The condo H.O.A. is unresponsive ( Ivy Sells). The owner of this unit is Hoosier Choice Realty. This resident had a visitor that intimidated me in the past . Cars.law.com states an unregistered vehicle in Indiana may not be located on a sidewalk. Speed limits are often not observed, especially during higher traffic times of day. It is not uncoomon that I am passed while driving my daughter to school.

Caller very frustrated with traffic back-up at Smith Ave. and Walnut. Sat in line on Smith for 20 minutes, through 6 stoplight cycles, forced to wait through school pick-up.

I’m not sure if this is the right spot. But in Sherwood Oaks II on Laura Way people speed horribly down that street (its the street that connects the old and new part). Can we get a speed bump or something that monitors speed through there?
