I was in the left hand lane on Walnut (going north) and a truck was next to me in the right hand lane. He sped up and slowed down with traffic so I was not in his blind spot. He knew that I was there. At the 3rd street intersection where the lanes do the "jog" the truck did not follow the lane markings. He instead went straight and "merged" into my lane, cutting me off. He did not have a turn signal on. I had to slam on my breaks in order to advoid an accident. This type of thing has happened to me many times at this intersection. The cars do not follow the lane markings! Can you repaint the markings or do something about this intersection. If you would just sit there and watch it in the mornings you would see what I mean.

The new median at the intersection of 3rd and Grant has been helpful. However, I have seen a number of drivers who are disgruntled not being able to turn the direction they want go around the median in a dangerous way. In one instance I witnessed, I believe this caused a fender-bender accident. In another instance I experienced as a pedestrian crossing, a car made an illegal turn around the median and had to stop right before me. I suggest that there be an extra pylon placed at the ends of the median's yellow lines to disincentivize this erratic driving.

There is a north/south alley that runs between 7th & 8th Streets behind Keller Heating & Cooling. There is another east/west alley that intersects the n/s alley ending in the Johnson Creamery parking lot. Sharon states that one of their employee trucks were recently hit using these alleys. Sharon feels that the intersection is dangerous if you have vehicles coming from different directions. Resident of The Stands reports that the stop sign exiting her cul-de-sac has faded so much that STOP is barely readable. As well, the streetlight in the cul-de-sac has begun to flicker, and when it's off the area is very dark.

Mr. Eccles lives at Eighth and Lincoln. People park in front of his driveway. He has spoken with the Traffic Commission. The Police come out often, but the problem isn't solved. What Can be done.
