Traffic along 1st and 2nd Streets and Henderson continues to increase in volume, speed, and non-compliance with stop signs. This is especially evident during morning and afternoon rush hours. Drivers have found they can cross town faster by cutting through core neighborhoods and ignoring traffic laws, than using major thoroughfares. Increased police presence would likely get these cars back on major roads. It is important the city realizes that it is the breaking of traffic laws that is making this traffic pattern desirable for drivers. I live at 1st and Henderson and less than 50% of cars come to a complete stop at this intersection.
Is there a way that you could lessen the snow mound heights at Bloomington Ferry Road and Lindstrom? It's almost impossible to see around them unless you pull out into the intersection. Someone has already gotten broadsided there--you can see the skid marks and the broken glass. Thank you
Tall objects are being put in the center of roundabouts, in violation of the engineering standards that require this space for sight distance. Drivers need to see what is coming.
Rhorer Road has potholes the size of Texas between 37 and Sare. It's been over a month now that these have been around. When are you going to fix them??!!
Missing stop sign at the intersection of Illinois crt and Illinois
The construction at the B-Line and Kirkwood is getting out of hand. I believe that someone will get hurt because there is just so much activity. Traffic is coming/going from several directions - Morton, Kirkwood, the B-Line and the construction equipment. Additionally, their construction materials are slowly moving in to the travel lanes, often block Kirkwood anyways. It would be best to just close Kirkwood to traffic at least during the day. It is also hazardous at 4th and the B-Line. I cat n's traffic coming from the west on 4th Street when traveling south on the B-Line.
The stop sign going south on Jackson at the corner of Jackson and 3rd street has been removed. The other two stop signs on third street and going north on Jackson have a small sign beneath them saying, "Three way stop." Either the stop sign on Jackson should be replaced or the signs beneath the other two stop signs should say something like, "cross traffic does not stop."
on Smith Rd at the intersection with Washington St, The Project School blocks the road from 7:45-8:00 daily. They have a crossing guard blocking the street, not to direct traffic, but to prevent any one from driving down the road. they say they have an agreement with teh city. Is this actually the case? It is making my commute to work longer than necessary.
at the intersection of west kirkwood & adams, some changes were made a few months ago. there is still a problem, because there's a yield-sign turned the wrong way so that only people in the cemetery there would be able to see it. needs to be turned around.
