Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2308 E Linden Hill DR

Case Date:
3/26/2020

My house is at 2308 E Linden Hill Drive in the Stands. In the open area behind my house, which borders on the Stands Drive there is a manhole labelled "sanitary sewer". Nearby that manhole there are 3 or 4 apparent sink holes (one about 18 inches deep) that seem to have formed recently. They may have no connection with the sewer system, but I suggest that they be checked out to make certain that there is not a leak of some kind, that could cause more damage. My cell phone number is 732-939-9426. Daniel Watts

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2311 S Rogers ST

Case Date:
9/8/2018

Hi, I'd like to report a sewer problem. There is a steady stream of water flowing out of a manhole. It leaks across the sidewalk and then onto Rogers where it flows into the storm sewer drain. It's on the northeast corner at the intersection of South Rogers and Coolidge. I just wanted to alert the utilities department about the issue. Thanks.

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2320 E Rock Creek DR

Case Date:
8/27/2023

Since the storm Friday night, our toilets and sink are gurgling and not flushing well. We have a manhole in front of our house and another one next door at the corner of Rock Creek and Montclair. It seems like we have a clog from that storm. The neighbors across the street are having the same issue. Thank you.

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2402–2998 S Weimer Rd

Case Date:
7/15/2015

While riding my bike on Weimer Rd.; I've noticed on two different occasions the strong smell of sewer gas. A Sewer gas smell to me means either there is effluent top side or there is an over flow into waterway. (Or I suppose something else) but there a definite issue. Exact location is post bridge on Weimer's south end heading toward Tapp Rd. It is also just past the mid point of bridge to Tapp Rd. points. Yes, I know there has been a lot of rain that contributes to these kind of issues, but being that the creek eventually "dumps" into Monroe Reservoir ( our drinking water) Thank you for looking into this. Smithville was installing cables and it caused our drains to back up into the house. Are the pipes broken or blocked?

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2630-2634 East Dekist Street

Case Date:
2/11/2018

Around 11:15pm tonight my basement toilet erupted, spewing sewage that covered a huge area of the floor. I called the city hotline and was told to call a plumber, even when I said my next -door neighbor had the same thing happen a few months ago. The word “clog” in spray paint is still very visible on the street in front of my house where the city came and cleared the pipe. I just spent the past 4 hours cleaning the filth up, which included lots of hardened blobs of fat, cigarette butts, and other things that obviously did not come from my house. I am going to get a plumber in tomorrow, but can the city please investigate, as I am very nervous about a recurrence. Thank you.

Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

2840 S Brookside DR

Case Date:
7/17/2020

My sewer has been backing up in my basement for several weeks. Roto Rooter came out to identify the problem. They found that my line is "party line" and is attached to my neighbor's line. The lines meet in his driveway and my line crosses through his front yard (see photos). Our houses were built in 1962. I know talking to the plumbers that this is illegal. To make it better, my neighbor is deceased (died in November) and the house is a foreclosure. No family is wanting responsibility for the house. We tried to call the bank to see what to do. The driveway and front yard will need to be dug up to move and replace the pipe. Who can I speak to to discuss how to proceed with this and (honestly) who will help pay for it?
