My house is at 2308 E Linden Hill Drive in the Stands. In the open area behind my house, which borders on the Stands Drive there is a manhole labelled "sanitary sewer". Nearby that manhole there are 3 or 4 apparent sink holes (one about 18 inches deep) that seem to have formed recently. They may have no connection with the sewer system, but I suggest that they be checked out to make certain that there is not a leak of some kind, that could cause more damage. My sewer has been backing up in my basement for several weeks. Roto Rooter came out to identify the problem. They found that my line is "party line" and is attached to my neighbor's line. The lines meet in his driveway and my line crosses through his front yard (see photos). Our houses were built in 1962. I know talking to the plumbers that this is illegal. To make it better, my neighbor is deceased (died in November) and the house is a foreclosure. No family is wanting responsibility for the house. We tried to call the bank to see what to do. The driveway and front yard will need to be dug up to move and replace the pipe. Who can I speak to to discuss how to proceed with this and (honestly) who will help pay for it?

I have plumbers at my house now doing extensive digging to resolve a backup in the main sewer line. They believe the blockage is within city jurisdiction. We have had sewage spewing into our shower and the toilet won't flush the last 24 hours

I sent a ureport to you 7-17 before receiving this estimate from roto rooter. It appears they will need to reroute the later to city main sewer and will be cutting the city street as well as backfill per code. Is this something you can help me with?

There is sewage spilling out from a white pipe located next to the house with toilet papers and other toiletries coming out and onto the yard and down the sidewalk.

Our toilet will not flush and neither will the neighbor's. We have both had the drainage pipe reamed out to the street and the problem is still there. We think the blockage is across the street by the stream. Please unclog this for us.

Sewer problem between 2516 and 2520 S Roundhill Ct. Water/sewage flowing out of manhole cover between properties. Significant odor associated with the issue.

In January 2023, while an optic cable was being installed on our street, the company called Vertical Underground LLC, which we were informed was contracted by the City of Bloomington to do the job, broke our sewer line (along with the lines of many others of our neighbors). We complained to one of Vertical Underground's managers who was working on fixing our neighbor's line, and he informed us that they would fix the problem and that we didn't need to worry. In order to do the repair, they had to break through our concrete driveway to repair the damage and re-pour the damaged section of the driveway. The problem seemed to be fixed for a few months, however, these past weeks, we have been experiencing the same issues that initially led us to the discovery of the damage they caused. That is, our drains are not draining, toilets are not draining and water is returning through the shower drain. We would like to request that CBU send someone to inspect the situation because we believe that the problem was not fixed properly. Thank you.
