Hello, a car was parked illegally in front of my car today on Washington St at the stop sign at 2nd street. Since the car behind me was practically at my bumper, I was not able to access my car and make it to work on time because the car in front of me parked illegally.
The stop sign at Gourley Pike and North Monroe Street is completely covered by branches and leaves. Please respond ASAP, citizen is very adamant about this issue.
I'm sure that 90% of what you recieve are complaints. In this regard instead of complaining, I have an idea for a more efficient and less dangerous form of traffic onto 3rd street from S. Muller Parkway, heading West. People turn through the 3rd St. turning lane risking danger and a ticket and also any dangerous U-Turns in the middle of the Intersection of 3rd St. and S. Cory Lane. I have to deal with this pressure when needing to turn west onto 3rd St. almost every day because I worked down 3rd St. west and I live off of S. Basswood Drive. One time I got pulled over by a sheriff for going through the 3rd St. turning lane and recieved a warning, luckily. Now, the cross-section of 3rd St. and S. Muller Parkway only allows traffic to go From 3rd St. on to S. Muller Parkway. I know that is because the road to S. Muller Parkway crosses with the road to 3rd St. west which would obviously cause collisions. According to the Google earth map, the distance is 720 Ft. to the Intersection of 3rd and S. Cory Lane From S. Muller Parkway. I have a proposal to avoid crossing the turning lane and dangerous U-Turns in the intersection for heading west on 3rd St. (Also saves gas and driving distance of course.) I created a plan in the diagram Image from the street map I aquired that I uploaded to show you for an example of the proposal. This Google map is very outdated, but it gives you a good prospective of the idea. All of this should work. There is enough space where the very wide curb(street gap) resides inbetween street directions for the proposed turn-offs, as there is for the turn-off heading west on 3rd St. Turn-off Option 1 only 172 Ft. down 3rd St. East: Reduce 3rd St. West Turning lane by half and add a turning lane on 3rd St. East wilst dividing the width of each lane Equally. After reducing the curb size, a thinner middle curb remains dividing them still. The turning lane off of 3rd St. west is relatively long as you'll see. Longer than necessary for a small neighborhood road, so I figure option 1 is feasible. Turn-off Option 2 Only 265 Ft.(maybe give or take 30 Ft.) down 3rd St. East connecting to the Gas Station. People can choose to turn into the gas station and out or make a u-turn. Thank you very much, Eliot P.S. It was fun putting this together to present to you. A huge tree just fell across the street from my house (300 S Fairview). It's on the City's boulevard. No damage to houses or people that I can see. It is blocking the side walk only, not the street. Thank goodness it fell where it did and not onto the street or a house! I know Ladd Rentals owns 301 S Fairview. Jaclyn
Any Chance we could not block off the bypass during rush hour traffic?
Homeowner at 1127 W 7th St currently has three vehicles parked in the alley that runs parallel to 6th/7th Sts. The alley has been blocked for a week.
One of the vehicles referenced in the 12/13/16 report on this location is still there. Another vehicle is now present. A person had been living in the vehicle, stating that she had been given permission to park/live there from the homeowner at 1127 W 7th St. The police removed the individual but said they could not do anything about the car. Assistance in the removal of both cars would be appreciated.
Street remains over half blocked by tree on power line. Duke Energy knew nothing about it. Why hasn't the city reported this to Duke? This is a heavy traffic road that's down to a single lane with no warning signs.
The sidewalk is covered by vegetation. It's extremely dangerous to ride bike since I have to get really close to the end of the sidewalk which was a steep drop off toward the incoming traffic.
The address is approximate. Railroad ties, 2x4's and what looks like a dog lead is blocking a street giving a lack of access for residents to the access way for Rockport Rd. from the corresponding neighborhood in which the access was erected, where as the apartments of Dorthy were annexed, or derived from the corresponding neighborhood. There is not consistent on sight property management for 2304 South Rogers Street. Dorthy Apartments claim to own the street that is blocked, which city planning documents I control or possess show otherwise. I am concerned that this is a gang-related incident in which will have numerous crimes attached. This is a public area because of the sidewalks, area developments, and subjection people are to encounter.
