I would like for the City of Bloomington IN, to remove the median that was just placed in the middle of 3rd street. I believe this curb to cause traffic problems, potentially hazardous conditions, illegal motorist operation, and unnecessary spending. The median causes motorists unnecessary turning, and frustration. It also causes problems in emergency situations that can make it very dangerous for emergency personnel. There was in fact never a need for a median to be placed on this road. There were several fires last summer that took place in this median as a matter of fact that could have caused more problems, including personal injury to pedestrians, and motorists, and property damage. I believe this median was both a waste of time and money.
Shouldn't business like College Mall be responsible for cleaning the public sidewalks? They never get cleaned when it snows, turns to ice and makes it difficult to walk to work there. Is there anything that can be done (a little salt would go a long way!)
Why is the sidewalk before and after the traintracks on Pete Ellis Drive never shoveled? In the three big snowfalls this year - nothing. And previous years. This is a highly pedestrian area.
Why is there snowpiled up at the Bloomington Hospital bus stops? Pedestrians have to climb over piles of snow or else stand in the street.

There is a grey El Camino that parks in the drive for the motorcycle shop every day and 9 times out of 10, the rear end of the car and the attached trailer hitch overhang into the street making it difficult for cars to pass on Madison Street.
Main streets in Bloomington and Normal were plowed and very passable yesterday. However, Chestnut, Allin and Mason streets did not fare the same. I left the facility at 6:00 pm last night and at that time the streets still appeared as if not plowed. In order to get from the lot to the building, staff and patients have to Cross Chestnut. This morning when I came in at 7:30 am, the road conditions were not much better. Although the road did appear to be plowed, we had little mountains to cross at driveway and sidewalk intersections. Since we are a 24 hour facility and have a pretty decent volume of patients (from pediatrics to geriatrics as well as some mobility assistance devices) and staff using this facility, we were wondering if there is a conversation to be had with the city.
Circle at end of Sunflower Drive needs second pass to remove snow still on circle. Last time mail truck got stuck trying to ge to the mailboxes on the circle. Thanks.
I do a lot of walking for exercise. I have noticed that many homeowners are allowing trees and bushes to grow over sidewalks. Can you help it getting foliage cut back?
