The new apartment complex at the corner of walnut and Driscoll. There was no space for parking added for parallel parkers so when they park, it turns Driscoll into a one lane street which is dangerous for those turning onto Driscoll from walnut when they are met with vehicle traveling west on Driscoll. Also, they are parking all the way to walnut blocking the sidewalk ramp and the fire hydrant .
At 4219 Deckard Dr. in Eastern Heights, there is a small blue Mazda which daily is parked facing the wrong way in front of this house, despite a very wide and accessible driveway a few feet away. This parking causes MCCSC buses, City of Bloomington Snow and Salt trucks, and neighborhood traffic to dodge hazardously around this car on a regular basis. It would be a good thing if the owner could be advised and encouraged to park in a manner that does not inconvenience the rest of the community. Thank you.
The road is almost completely inaccessible in front of the big apartment building here because cars are lining both sides of the street, even though there is only parking on one side of the street. Probably move in day in the building or something, but no excuse for lax parking rules. There was also a huge brown RV parked idling on the sidewalk, spewing fumes everywhere - and since someone kept the front door open, I'd imagine the whole building reeks of fumes, the entire street outside certainly does. I had to turn in the alleyway here to get around this street because I couldn't fit my car through the double parked cars. A red Hyundai Accent has been parked in the same spot since July 2022 and is becoming a nuisance for trash pick up. With winter coming this car is in the way for snow removal.
