The trees to the left (north) of the entrance/exit from the Animal Shelter and Recycle center on S. Walnut make it very tough to see traffic coming from the north headed south on Walnut. The speed limit there is 40mph, so cars are going 45-50mph along that stretch of road. The trees with leaves on them just about totally obscure the view of traffic coming from the north when you are trying to exit from the area. Can someone go check out the line of sight from this exit and see if the trees could be trimmed back in some way?

I noticed several signs that are overgrown by foliage, causing them to be hard to see. One sign, a stop sign at E. Hunter Ave and Eastside Dr. is dangerous as it is covered up and could cause an accident. Other signs on E. Hunter Ave and South Eastside Dr are also covered. See photos. However, when the "foliage trimmers", came by, my tree was the only one trimmed and the 'parking permit' sign could be seen by an airplane as they butchered the tree. Other signs were ignored. Why? I would like them to notify me, the owner, if it needs to be trimmed and I would like to be there or do it myself.

I called over 30 days ago to notify you the city owned trees between our property and the street are blocking the line of sight getting out of our driveway. Since that phone call, there have been 3 near-misses by vehicles I could not see. Our address is 4000 S Jamie Lane. This needs to be taken care of ASAP. Thank you, Kathy Carter

Walnut and College moving south the left hand lane becomes a turn left only. 46 West to East at College and Walnut Notification is only Speeding in Construction Zone and then Student return traffic delay. Cones for left hand lane are sudden and create a turn left only suddenly. There should be a mile notification of the left hand only and several following. See OSHA

This is an unacceptable reply and will be discussed at the next City Council open meeting. Low hanging branches and overgrowth from City street trees is causing issues with school bus drivers (they've told me that they cannot see children at their stops here or on-coming vehicle traffic due to this overgrowth). Please trim trees and remove overgrowth in this area to improve visibility. Location: area just north of the intersection of Odell Drive and E. Burks Drive.
