INTERSECTION OF SOUTH STULL AVENUE AND WILSON STREET. STOP SIGN IS OBSTRUCTED BY TREE LIMBS.L
Hi, I drive a bucket truck for a business on thorton drive. The boom sticks out six feet in front of the truck. When i pull out onto henderson I am almost in the middle of the road before i can see if traffic is coming. My main concern is that a bus or large vehicle could catch the boom and cause an accident. Before I was hoping the city could remove the overgrowth of brush at the intersection to make it safer. Thanks, Ben
There are what I believe are curb extensions at the intersection of Fess and Maxwell. At night, these extensions are not marked nor lit. When turning onto Maxwell off of Fess with oncoming traffic you are forced over to the side of the road. In my case, I hit the curb busting a tire and doing extensive damage to the car. I went back the following day and it is clear the curbs have been hit by multiple vehicles. Reflectors or other signage would be helpful for the unexpected curb extensions. Thanks!
Mr. Hiate states that at the corner of Cottage Grove and Washington Streets on the North East corner there is bush or shrubbery that makes it impossible to see on coming traffic.
shrubs are obstructing view of drivers at NW corner of Hawthorne and Atwater
School sign is covered by tree branches W. 7th and Fairview
A citizen stated that the stop sign next to 625 W. 13th St. is obstructed by branches and motorist can not see the sign.
Please assess this intersection (Fairview and 13th) at the top of a slight hill with a stop sign. The massive honeysuckle bush on the east side of Fairview obstructs view of stop sign until you are right up to the stop sign. Additionally, when you are stopped at 13th st and looking east there are oftentimes vehicles parked in front of the residence and the view to the east is blocked. I don't know how the yellow painted curbs to prohibit parking near stop signs are determined but this intersection may need something to prevent vehicles from parking right up to the stop sign. Thank you.
The bushes alongside the east side of Fairview have grown out and over obscuring the 'no parking' sign. Over the past two years, there has been an increase in commercial vehicles (tree trimmers/landscapers) as well as delivery trucks thinking it is okay to park in front of a stop sign on a slight hill. This is obstructing the view of the intersection and creating a dangerous situation when vehicles are forced into oncoming traffic to pull around the stopped vehicle. Combine that with the reckless drivers who are speeding on 13th street, oftentimes taking the turn from 13th to go south on Fairview at very high speeds, and the result is a dangerous situation. Please improve the line of sight. Thank you.
two bushes over hanging into street, has complained before at beginning of summer, nothing done, very dangerous, says this is the fourth time he's complained about it, says inspector drive to spot, stopped and looked at it, then drove off
