Road (asphalt) is cracked from one side to another - all of its width, right in front of 1630 S Ira St. Please fix/pave/take corrective measures for crack not to become worse.
I received a phone call today saying that the potholes I reported last week had been repaired. After inspecting the area at around noon I found this not to be the case. I suspect the person who evaluated the situation was noticing that some alley repair had been completed in the spring/summer at the street entrance however about ten to twenty yards up from the street entrance is where the problem area is. Old pavement has crumbled away and cars are bottoming out. To remind you of the location, this is the first alleyway on the south side of 6th street east of Adams. It is a very high traffic alley way due to the fact that there is off street parking for several apartments on Kirkwood behind my house (1221 W. 6th). If you follow the alley way around to the left (exiting on Pine Street) you will find many more problem spots. I hope these issues can be addressed soon before the really bad weather arrives. The construction at the corner of 11th and Walnut of the new apartment building has left this area of Walnut hazardous and capable in inflicting vehicle damage even when travelling slowing, especially the utility cut across Walnut which has not been filled in to be even with the road surface. This is the same type of problem that existed at 11th and Rogers but is horizontal across the street instead of diagonal across the intersection. The problem at 11th was fixed but this one needs attention ASAP to prevent damage to vehicles and subsequent claims to the city for that damage. There are also breaks and holes and bumps in the pavement at the crest and going down the other side towards 12th street and so on. the bicycle lanes on both College and Walnut between 11th street and where they begin/end around Steak and Shake often are littered with debris, particularly under the railroad overpass.
It's not really a pothole, more like a bad spot in the road that dips down quite deep, large enough for 1 tire. Driving East on Moore's Pike, just past the entrance to Hyde Park, on the right is a large dip in the road, large enough for one tire. Everyone swerves to miss it, which could easily cause an accident into oncoming traffic.
The intersection of South Rogers and Patterson Drive needs a cold or hot patching of pot holes in intersection as soon as weather permits.
There is a area going south to north along Gates Drive behind the section of shops that is north of Lowes that is really bad shape with lots of potholes and damage. These need cold/hot patching when weather permits.
