Potholes, Other Street Repair

Case Date:
6/9/2021

Just checking in on closed case, thank you. Could sure use some asphalt thrown down if delay in paving Pickwick will be long. #175370 Potholes, Other Street Repair: Other: As rain come downhill on the street, it sometimes overwhelms our drainage tunnel. Over the years this created a line of crumble in Pickwick, in the last two years this has become a serious hazard for bicycles, pedestrians and not too good for our cars. Is there a chance we could get some blacktop put down on this? I'll be taking bids to resurface my driveway this summer, and it would be best if the street was repaired before this work gets done. Thank you! On the north side of the newly-paved 7th Street, between Dunn and College Avenues, there are numerous locations where sewer and water drain covers are sinking into the ground...it is excessively bumpy, hazardous and only going to get worse unless addressed immediately.

The garbage trucks keep damaging the road in front of E 3425 Adair Ln (see attached picture taken on April 8, 2022). You patched the hole in November 2020 and May/June 2021, but the problem is not getting better. The asphalt that's piling up is not only an eye sore, but also a real safety hazard. Is there a way to provide a more permanent fix? For example, by first removing a larger area of the old surface cover and adding a stronger foundation/base layer before applying a new surface cover? Thanks for your consideration.

On Friday April 15th, 2022 around 7:35am I was driving through the intersection of W Second Street and S Adams Street in which there was a city water access hole without the lid resulting in a popped/flat tire on my front passenger side. I was wondering if the city could reimburse me for my auto repair bill considering the cause of my flat was a city water access hole where no lid was present.

The alley next to my house needs to be graded (my car scrapes the middle/high section of the alley). You already did the section that is off of Highland Avenue (thank you!), but the part of the alley that connects to Ballantine Road needs to be done. It starts at the alley entrance from Ballantine Road (503 S. Ballantine Rd) and goes about halfway down the alley. In this area, the middle of the alley needs to be scraped down and gravel added. It would be great if you could add gravel to the whole alley as some sections are muddy after a rain. Thank you.
