Pothole in the Eastbound lane at the intersection of Franklin and Wyndale
Owner of 111 W. 4th Street is concerned about north/south/alley between 4th and 3rd (runs along west side of 4th St. parking garage). Some repairs made by city and Duke Energy, she thinks, but not properly paved.
In the middle of the intersection of 4th and College, there is a manhole cover. It is in the east bound lanes of 4th Street as they cross over College Avenue. On the south side of this manhole cover, there is a MASSIVE pot hole. If you are biking on 4th headed east, as so many people do, that pothole is just waiting to grab hold of your front tire, latch on to it, and spit you out head first over the handlebars, smacking into the pavement. Someone will go down. Just a matter of time. A scooter probably won't stand a chance either.
uReport #185606 was submitted on September 15, 2023. A large pothole in the intersection of 4th and College on the south side of the manhole cover in the intersection presents a danger to cyclists on 4th Street. The ticket was closed yet the pothole still exists as of November 10, 2023. This needs to be addressed as it was not fixed and the ticket was closed without anyone verifying a resolution of the dangers.
Potholes near NE corner of 4th & Rogers. ALSO-please check grassy area in front of 521 W. Kirkwood--the grassy area between the sidewalk & the street. There are several sinkholes a few feet west of the bus stop sign. It's a tripping hazard. Thanks.
When biking south on Rogers and turning right (west) onto 6th street, the road is so torn up that it's impossible to safely turn onto 6th without making a wide turn and coming to an almost complete stop. Both of which are very unsafe given how fast cars drive behind me.
Left turn light does not go green.
The street repair is done but workers left street closed signs at both ends
The NE corner of 7th & Waldron at the street level was torn up MONTHS ago during the Near Westside sidewalk and ramp work. This corner has never been either completed or the pavement restored. When will this finally be finished? I see this as an issue as we go into the rainy winter, where this area will be more prone to icing, which will create a potential road hazard.
