There is a small area on the side of the road that has crumbling asphalt, which contributes to the storm water drainage issues as rocks get dropped into the drain after significant rain. Crews have patched areas along the street over the years, might be worth a review.

Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. Mr. Lord expressed concern about the "man-made" potholes around the city. He realizes that he does not live in the city, but still spends money here and is tired of running into these potholes. He wanted to suggest manhole "spacers", the piece of equipment between the manhole cover and the pavement. Call made at approx. 2:00 p.m., August 20, 1997.
