Somebody dumped a large shopping cart on the roundabout where W 17th meets Arlington Rd. It has a used tire and a big bag full of junk that is now strewn around. Public Works received this via e-mail. The sidewalk near the intersection of Smith Road and Grandview Drive, underneath the railroad tracks is still unswept from the winter's sanding of the streets. Weeds are also growing and it just looks bad. Mr. Arvesen states that this is the third year in a row that he has contacted the city about this problem.

Location: Morrison's TV & Appliances (closed) @ ~900 W Kirkwood Ave. There is a shopping cart (large'ish size; standard grocery store) that has been left on the sidewalk for at least a week. It is just immediately west of the curb-cut drive-in for the old Morrison's lot. I've moved it off to the side to clear the sidewalk (now sitting next to the Morrison's fence), but it needs removed permanently. There is nothing in the cart and no one appears to have touched it in at least seven days. Thank you! Happy Holidays/stay warm!! =)
There's been trash flung all over the sidewalk and area for weeks now. The sidewalk under and near the train underpass is also nasty and needs cleaning. Both sidewalk areas are also overgrown with plants
