Water not draining at skatepark
Water not draining at skatepark
Several coneflowers in the pots near the farmers market looked like they were infected with Asters Yellow. This can spread rapidly and the plants need to be removed.
Tennis courts are in serious need of weeding around fencing perimeter - inside around basketball courts. Both nets could use recalibration at Park Ridge East Park
Unhoused making a bed on top of the picnic tables at Butler Park. Changing clothes in the park when the restrooms are open and they could go in there. Setting up camp in Butler Park
Next to the Bryan Park tennis courts is plot of grass where there used to be 4-6 Callery pear trees. Of course they had to be removed, but i hope there, are plans to replace them. Unfortunately the City also planted them along the B-Line, so i understand it will take a lot of money to replace them all. Thanks!
Water fountain at seminary park is broken and doesn’t work. Please could you fix it?
There are White markings with flags in the SE section of Rose Hill Cemetery. What is happening within that proscribed area?
There needs to be a discussion with the Indiana Bobcats about the appropriate use of city parks. They continually park their cars on the grass around the concessions area. To get there, they drive down the path that runs north/south along the field. This is the path that is used by families and kids for walking/biking and is adjacent to the playground. They also drive on the path from the south end of the Olcott parking lot heading towards to the concessions building. Again this path is used by families and kids. They need to be told that these paths are NOT roads. There is ample parking at Olcott and the middle school. There is no reason for them to be driving on the paths and tearing up the grass around the concessions area.
I am glad to see organizations using our parks. However please convey to them that they need follow the same rules as the rest of us. Every home game the Indiana Bobcats park on the grass next the concessions stand. They drive their cars down the north/south path that runs along the field to access the concessions area. They also drive up the path from the very south end of the Olcott parking lot toward the concessions. See attached pictures. I don't know if one of their vehicles hit the bench on that path, but the bench is now broken. These paths are right next to the playground and are regularly used by family and children. Please inform them that these are NOT roads. There is ample parking at Olcott and the middle school. There is no reason for them to be parking on the field next to the concessions. On rainy days (like Sat), they also damage the grass in and around the concessions area.
Bunch of cars parked up on the grass at Olcott park during a football game on Saturday evening. Ridiculous - there is abundant available parking. They'll leave and we in the community will be stuck with the mess.
