Hello! I was wondering if I could gain permission to metal dectect on city parks and rec property? Specifically, I would like to try metal detecting at Lower Cascades. If permissible, I would minimize avoid any restricted areas, fill in any dig holes, and would remove all surface and underground trash encountered. Thanks for your time, and let me know if any other information is needed.

Seminary park area is, as always, full of
Trash and abandoned personal possessions. Trash is being blown everywhere in the area including several retail areas. Some of the retail areas are abandoned or vacant. Regardless these retailers should not be accountable to pick all this trash up since the city cannot take care of the problem! There are also several homeless in the area with stolen shopping carts. Police need to intervene and return the stolen items to the owners. I continue to not understand why the city doesn’t take action or laws/rules in violation!!!!

Bryan Park boardwalks are slippery when wet or frosty. I fell and hurt my wrist on the old one, near the rest rooms. I'll be in a cast for at least a month. Please consider treating the boardwalks to reduce the risk. Thanks!

There are multiple overhead lights at the Bryan Park tennis courts near the intersection of Woodlawn and Maxwell. Some of the lights shine on the courts while some of the lights shine on the street and sidewalk. The lights aligned to shine on the street and sidewalk are all out. As a result, it is very dark on this section of Woodlawn.

The Switchyard Park public restrooms near the splash pool were locked at 8pm Sunday while a 7pm orchestra concert was ongoing. The posted closing time is inconsiderate of the hundreds of music lovers in the concert audience who were not aware of a facilities curfew. The sympathetic parks employee said he was instructed to lock the building. In the interest of respecting anticipated needs of park users for whom the venue was built, please review the reasons for having a restroom lockdown policy during events that are expected to have a large audience.

The playground mulch area is getting overgrown by grass and weeds. It’s a tripping hazard for my toddler (can’t see edges of walkways and changes in elevation) and looks unsightly. Some form of weed control needs done… at minimum it needs to be mowed regularly. Thank you!!

why is there no shade in switchyard park playground? the canopies do nothing since they are just open slats. it would be easy to cover them and create shade.

Several overnight homeless camps/tents on west side of b-line across from the dog park at switchyard. Trash, personal possessions, needles, shopping carts, etc…littering the ground.
