Switchyard Park

Lights do not turn on in the evening at the skateboarding area... this is a safety hazard, especially now that it’s dark by 9:30, but the park doesn’t close until 11pm.

I understand that the dog park at Switchyard park is new and that the grass still needs to grow and be healthy. However, myself and fellow dog owners are concerned with how much the sprinklers are running. It's turning the dog park into a swampy mess. This morning when I went with my dog Bailey, the big tree was completely flooded around it and the far field near the hill was ver swampy and muddy. I couldn't even walk through the grass with him. He ended up twisting his foot in the wetness. I really believe it's just oversaturated. When I take my dog to the park, I'd love to be able to run around with him without us both coming home completely covered in mud.
Hi there! First off, Switchyard Park is looking really good. I know finishing touches are still in process. I was excited to see that the dog parks are now open. However, several times now we've taken our small dog (below 25 pounds) to the small dog park only to see that number of people have their large dogs in the enclosure. It wasn't possible to use the park because the dogs were rather rough during play with the other dogs. The first time we thought maybe it was a fluke but the subsequent two times the same thing happened. The small sign on the placard isn't particularly visible so I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a sign directly on the entry gate labelled "small dogs" and a "large dog" sign on the opposite dog park gate? Perhaps you could also indicate either the weight maximum or example of standard dog breeds considered small v. large. I've seen such signs in other municipalities for their small v. large dog parks. Thank you!! Keep up the great work.
1 ft deep hole, top of north west hill of large dog park. Very dangerous to dogs and people
Pickleball nets at Switchyard parks are to high in the middle. Nets should be 36 in. on ends and 34 in. in the middle. When nets were taken down last time who ever did it probaply was not aware of this
Board at pickleball court has been loose for a long time. I reported it before. Now it's completely off. Please repair.
Used and open syringes are being thrown every now and then at Bline Trail/ Switchyard park. Did we pay for this project so that drug addicts can shoot up and throw syringes where the kids are playing? Why are the restrooms not open for public use at the switchyard park as well as the BPD? Don't say that you don't have enough resources to hire and take care of those. Address the real problem.
Pickleball nets need adjusted. They need to be 36 in tall at the out of bounds line and 34 in tall in center of net.
Mary go round needs greased or repaired. It is difficult, even for adults, to push. The children couldn’t use by themselves.
The carousel in the playground has become VERY hard to push. Maybe something is stuck underneath? Can someone please check it out? Thanks!
