All but one of the four hoops need new nets.
All but one of the four hoops need new nets.
THE ISSUE: On the left, looking west toward the basketball courts in Bryan Park. Over the years attempts have been made to deal with erosion caused by the stream that flows into Sheridan Creek. A SUGGESTION: Erect a lttle bridge for pedestrian like the one illustrated on the right (on Highland between Southdowns and the pedestrian / bicycle link to Weatherstone in Deer Park over a drainage ditch.
Tried once. Verify didn't work. Please get rid thst. But i'll try agsin Please put Bicycles Yield to Pedestrians signs in Bryan Park at Henderson and at Woodlawn. Two Greenways enter the bisecting path from East and West and most do not slow down ring a bell csll out. They act like they have the right way. Thst path curves so vidibility is limited sometimes. One (or more) yield signs on the north at or near the boardwalks too please.
Follow on "resolved" Case #188265. I am glad there are no current plan to straighten or widen the central path in Bryan Park. If you think that the Bike Ped Commission has any interest in pedestrian safety except when in their mistaken opinion it coincides with cyclists, please think again.
Poison hemlock at SW corner of large dog park. This invasive plant is toxic to dogs and people. Please spray or manually remove ASAP. Thank you!
coyotes rage through Crestmont Park and surrounding properties nightly. Some neighbors report seeing individual coyotes in their yards. One neighbor reports seeing a coyote jump a fence on W 16th and killed a cat. Feral cats have been eaten. Last night I heard what sounded like coyote vs fox killing. One neighbor claims that the coyotes live in a hole they dug by a ditch on W. 16th west of Lindbergh. I sympathize with all the creatures who have been displaced by huge complexes in the area, But these guys have got to go. The same group of people is claiming and staying in the gazebo at the Building and Trades park every single day. They are there from open to close, sometimes sleeping on the ground as if it is their personal camp site. Nobody else has a chance to use the shelter because this group is there the entire time the park is available for use. This was a problem last year, and the group referred to the park as their "turf" during an altercation with my neighbors. My house was recently broken into, and it concerns me to know that there are people who can just sit there all day and see exactly when we are coming or going. I don't mind people using the park (because public use is the purpose of a park), but I think it is unreasonable for one group of people to practically live in the park and claim the shelter every day, to the exclusion of other park users. It would be helpful if they could inhabit a different park - or just be somewhere else - on at least some days.
There appears to be drug dealing going on in RCA Park. There is a black vehicle that appears to be involved with at least three undernourished pit bulls in and around the vehicle. If someone is approaching from the walking path the dogs bark and snarl. One appears to be secured by a thin rope. Why is there never a police presence in this area? I almost never see park security down here. It feels like parks and Rec has given up on keeping our parks safe.
People are living here, they are dumping trash and it smells so bad like pee and poop
The area by the shalom center (road/sidewalks) are covered in trash. Please discuss with the shalom center to help keep this area clean as the trash stems from their services. Also seminary park area is filled with trash and multiple stolen shopping carts from local businesses this morning (6/7/23)
