Schmaltz Farm Park Bottom section of slide has big hole sufficient to cause injury.
wasp nest in middle court of north tennis courts
Hello there, My name is Yuzhen, and I live in Kensington park. We have been enjoying the Schmalz Farm Park in the neighborhood. My son loved to play in the playground in the park. He is a big kid now, and he likes sport more. So do his friends in the neighborhood! It seems to me that most of the parks in Bloomington have some kind of sports facility (neat!). I wonder if the city has any plan for building sports facility in the Schmalz Farm Park (a basketball court would be lovely, but any kind of sports facility will be great:)). Thanks much for your consideration. Best, Yuzhen Ye
Bottom section of slide is damaged making it hazardous. I reported this once back in May.
The winding slide at schmaltz farm park has been broken since late spring/early summer of 2014. When will it get fixed? Thanks.
The second light pole south of the far north east corner of the Bryan Park tennis courts has a metal piece that is off and the wires inside are now exposed. This could be dangerous having live electrical wires exposed in a park.
Not a problem—requesting that there be a pickleball court lines drawn on the current tennis courts or on the hitting surface so we can include pickleball playing in the park. Lots of us would love to play here!
Would you consider adding a pickle ball court or at least painting lines for pickle ball on the tennis courts and/or the pavement next to the courts?
There are holes in the ground where the small, wooden fence used to be along Sheridan Creek in Bryan Park. Several of these have not been filled since that fence was removed. Friday evening, my dog tripped into one of these holes. She has developed a limp since and will need a veterinary exam Monday. These holes are large enough that a dog/ child/small adult foot can go into them. They have become covered in leaves and difficult to spot. The holes are on the north side of the sidewalk between Woodlawn and the park restrooms, at least.
