Good afternoon! I've been a user of the Ferguson Dog Park since 2016. I just love this park and the community of people who visit. Myself and many other regulars often walk the perimeter of the Big Dog Area for fitness and to keep the dogs focused on moving. Often times users of the park will stand near the sunshade and their dogs will cluster. The clustering can sometimes cause natural conflicts between dogs. In the past I lived in Waterloo, Ontario, CA. The dog park in Waterloo is called Betchel Park. One of their features of the park was a gravel walking ring specifically for those two reasons I mentioned - good behavior by owners moving, and encouraging health of the owner. See the attached aerial photo. The many of us that walk the interior perimeter of the fencing at Ferguson don't mind the grass but it has it's own hazards of watching where you step. A gravel "trail around the park would encourage healthy behavior among citizens and canines alike. Thank you for listening. Anne Crecelius

Tree on north side of Bryan Park, just north of the asphalt path. Misidentified as Ohio Buckeye (Aesculus glabra). It is red horse chestnut (Aesculus x carnea). Buckeye (Aesculus glabra) has pale yellowish flowers. Red buckeye (Aesculus pavia) has bright red flowers. Red horse-chestnut (Aesculus x carnea) has (bright) pink flowers.

There is an area close to the entrance where water gathers. It becomes slippery and yesterday was slimy and stinky. Could it be filled with dirt or stone to avoid this. Dogs were rolling in it and really stinky. Also seems a health hazard.

There is a fence between Meadowood and Griffey Preserve. The fence is laying on the ground with broken wires, fence posts are breaking off. Is it okay to remove the broken/bent fence between the properties. This fence is behind 1013 and 1015 Sassafras in Meadowood. I'd be happy to show someone what I'm trying to describe. Thank you, Diana Dupree

Just curious if it's normal if homeless take baths in the splash pad for kids. I watched this on 7-5-23. I find it disturbing and disgusting.. Something has to be done with the amount of transients at Switchyard. They have over run Seminary, rails to trails, parking lots, corners and sidewalks.. I don't fill safe taking my family downtown any longer.. Something has to change... Marty S.

The Switchyard Park public restrooms near the splash pool were locked at 8pm Sunday while a 7pm orchestra concert was ongoing. The posted closing time is inconsiderate of the hundreds of music lovers in the concert audience who were not aware of a facilities curfew. The sympathetic parks employee said he was instructed to lock the building. In the interest of respecting anticipated needs of park users for whom the venue was built, please review the reasons for having a restroom lockdown policy during events that are expected to have a large audience.

Vandals are destroying the pine trees next to the beginning of the concrete trail by the playground in RCA park. Would signage more security help. Older kids are not supervised here.
