I have encountered the security service truck several times while walking on the trail at RCA Park and the windows are tinted so that you cannot see who is inside the truck. This makes me feel unsafe.
Suspicious activity. Multiple people doing something at the park. Between 2 and 4 am
Please cover over the old tennis lines on your pickleball courts. Having both sets of lines are confusing. Also, could wind clothes be added to lessen impact of wind. Due to COVID, more people are using this facility. Because of the nature of the restroom there, it is closed. Could a portable restroom be added to this location. There is not an easy way to replace this necessary need. In addition, is it possible to convert other tennis courts in the city to pickleball courts? Thanks for your consideration, Victoria Lee
Many of us older citizens play pickle ball at this park whenever the weather allows, like this past weekend when it was 47 degrees but sunny. There are just 2 dedicated courts and 2 others with both tennis and pickle ball lines making it very difficult to call lines. We would love for that court to be re-lined so it is just with pickle ball lines. Also, it would be nice to have another court dedicated to just pickle ball since there are many other tennis courts around the city and no other pickle ball ones except at Switchyard Park. Also, a portable toilet would be nice and wind cloths that prevent the wind from over-riding the game shots. The condition of Miller Shower park is getting worse day by day. It was clean and beautiful last fall but now it is covered with water plants and getting worse. Is it due to lack of funds that there is not maintenance?
Broken swings
I regularly walk through the east side of the Southeast Park. At the southern edge of the park near Arden and Montclair, a fairly massive branch has cracked on a tree in the backyard of a private home and ended up balancing on its narrow tip on park property. As long as the larger, upper part of the branch stays securely fastened to the neighbor's tree, it seems not to be an emergency, were a young person to decide to climb it and stress the crack, they could put themselves in danger and the city might be found liable. It seems to me that the city should trim the heavy branch so it has no chance to hurt anyone.
People driving off road vehicles on Jackson creek trail, driving on,the basketball court, driving on the playground a 6pm in the evening with people playing basketball, little kids on the play ground and users on the trail. The also drove them in the grass through the butterfly area trails. Black Nissan truck with trailer two off road vehicles. Guess you need a sign what would seem to be obviously irresponsible. It was a family with 2 adults and two, maybe three kids.
Switchyard Dog Park needs a hose or more accessible water spout/fountain installed for large communal (dog) water bowls. Ferguson model works well. An awning that actually provides shade (current one does not) would also be wonderful. Thank you :)
The Sycamore Knolls area tennis courts (off Hillside) is overgrown with weeds, both along the fence and on the court itself. Seems like the courts are not being kept up.
