About 20ft back from the southwest corner of 8th and Washington (between the street and the sidewalk) there is the bottom/stump of what was maybe a parking sign. If moving to the side to allow someone to pass on sidewalk or more likely someone getting out of the passenger side of a car could injure themselves, especially at night. Please remove or replace. The sidewalk out front of Chow Bar on Indiana Avenue has a hole in it that could be dangerous as it is big enough to consume at least the toe of an adult shoe, most of a child's shoe, and all of a dog's paw. The hole is right by a manhole cover.
Sidewalk is nothing but ice. I just about fell.
The snow on the west sidewalk is piled up so high it is impossible to walk through. It is more snow than nearby un-shoveled areas. It creates a dangerous situation for pedestrians, forcing them to the street.
This “historic fieldstone sidewalk” is a TOTAL DISASTER to actually walk on. My teenage son walks, but has limited mobility and requires support to stay upright. This sidewalk was completely unsafe for him to use. We had to cross mid-block on Dunn (also not very safe) to a usable sidewalk on the west side of the street. This may be “historic” but it is NOT ADA compliant. Please make this sidewalk safe for all to use.
