Sidewalk along eastbound 13th Street is rough and uneven between N Forrest Ave and N Walnut Grove.
Overgrown vegetation on the north side of E First St is blocking the sidewalk
There is a lot of vegetation growing across the sidewalk covering more than half the sidewalk and it's invasive stuff, so it should be pulled not just cut back. This extends along the city owned property and somewhat to the adjacent home owner's property.
There are "bump-outs" with pipes extending up from the ground surrounding them. I imagine the purpose for these is to protect pedestrians. The only problem is that they extend into the street, causing pedestrians who would not normally be out into the street this far to be there, and also they make it dangerous for cars turning left on each of these (Walnut onto 14th, 14th onto College)because it narrows the turn access, and it also blocks the site of the driver. Why are we putting pedestrians out into the street? Seems like a dangerous situation to me. Thank you.
The sidewalk on the NE corner of Forrest and 11 is not accessible. It has a severely steep grade and bank (one corner is much higher than the opposite). I would not travel along the block on the North side of 11 between Forrest and Walnut Grove because of it.
large sidewalk gap on Arlington just north of the new roundabout, on the west side, it seems incomplete, or maybe they are going to finish it soon?
Utility contractor is using rebar rods for safety fencing around open holes along side walk but they are not using rebar caps on top of the rebar which poses an impailment hazard if someone was to fall into the rebar
The footpath on the NW corner of College Ave & Old 37 has an extremely steep section approaching the curb cuts designating the College Ave. pedestrian crosswalk. It is quite unusable for power wheelchairs. Moreover, the lack of a side path along Old SR 37 means coming from Gourley Pike, I must approach the intersection with my chair in the motorway running against oncoming traffic. Of necessity, I must operate in the center of the lane keeping away from the soft shoulder. This is potentially quite hazardous for me given the 40+ mph cross- & turning-traffic and the concrete trucks that frequent this intersection.
It has been 11 weeks since Millstone tore out my driveway and the sidwalk. It is still an awful mess. 3 weeks ago I got a notice from them that they would be replacing my driveway “this week”. It is still a terrible, muddy mess that struggle to drive through. No progress on the driveways anywhere in 6 days. FFS WHEN is this going to be completed? I want my damned driveway back. It’s almost September.
