Hello, I am the facilities manager of Trinity Episcopal Church (111 s Grant Street). A while back our gas meter was moved by (then Vectren) in conjunction with the Culvert work that is ongoing by Milestone. They moved the meter from the back of our building where it was safe - to the corner where it is in a precarious position. In doing so they have compromised the sidewalk, causing the corner to crack and one of the metal plates to raise up forming a lip - which has been reported to me as being a tripping hazard. I've asked numerous times to have the area addressed (specifically the meter itself) and have been ignored by (now) Centerpoint. The sidewalk deterioration is just the latest part of the failure to sensibly relocate that meter in a safe manner. Does the Street department address this? And who can I talk to about the meter itself? It is exposed to Traffic traveling through the alley and will be damaged at some point by a large truck. If you folks could assist me in this - Trinity Episcopal Church sure would be grateful. Thanks for your time, Kevin Burdeshaw Facilities Manager

I noticed today that the sidewalk by the parking lot of the Bloomington Police station on Lincoln street one end of the sidewalk before crossing the parking lot does not have an accessible sidewalk - it has a curb. Will his be resurfaced to be wheelchair accessible soon?

The sidewalks between the B-Line Trail and Madison Street at the 3rd Street bridge are getting overgrown. Both sidewalks on the north and south sides of 3rd Street running west from the trail to Madison have low hanging trees and overgrown shrubs. There is also a lot of loose sand on the south sidewalk of 3rd Street overpass. As the only way onto the Trail at 3rd, this all makes for an adventure. On my Bicycle I have to be very careful. I'd like to see this trimmed. I bike commute on the trail from the south to the area of 3rd and Madison. My roommate bike commutes to Cowork. I see others use the sidewalks too. Could be much safer. The sidewalk imprints about walking your scooters across the street are degrading, and are slippery. I was walking on Kirkwood, and the one on the corner in front of the Cafe Pizzeria (that corner) is where I slipped and hurt my right knee. I walk frequently there as I am a student at IU, and it's only slippery on top of the remneants of that imprint. Someone is going to get hurt or die even if they crack their skull!

The sidewalk on the south side of Moores Pike, east and west of Olcott Blvd. is overgrown and unusable, particularly east of Olcott. Vegetation needs to be cleared so sidewalk is accessible.

Metal stub from broken off signpost on west sidewalk (even side of street) is a major tripping hazard. It needs to come out, and until that happens it really needs a cone or something to make it visible to pedestrians.
